As a recidivist mono-maniac, adept at superimposition, he composes in his works veritable microcosms populated by funny masked animals, unusual objects and whimsical forms of all kinds. Fernand's work is a form of automatic writing that takes him into a chaotic, colorful universe, somewhere between childlike exploration and unconscious wandering.

Interwoven with one another, the elements of his works are objects that the artist holds dear and accumulates in a corner of his mind, like a collector. Whether for their aesthetics or for what they represent, they all eventually find their place in a composition, and sometimes never leave it. Obsessed with the punk imagery and industrial riches of his hometown, Fernand is determined to find an organization for his mental chaos.
